About
I have loved reptiles and amphibians all of my life. As a child, growing up in Portland Oregon, I would spend a lot of time looking for snakes, frogs, salamanders, lizards and turtles. I would research native species, then recreate a natural environment for them in captivity.
When I was 12 years old, my father asked "son, what do you want to do when you grow up?" And as a 12 year old I said "dad, I want to make a bunch of money!" My father then said "son, I go to work every day, I don't look forward to it and I make pretty good money, but if I could do it all over again I would have chosen something that I love to do. Son, take the time to find something you enjoy doing. If you enjoy what you do, you will be the best at what you do and money will then follow."
At 12 years old I took this to heart. Thanks to the wise words from my father I have pursued a career in the animal field. I am a Certified Veterinary Technician, Instructor of Veterinary Assisting and breeder of investment quality Ball Pythons.
In my not so free....... free time....... I enjoy the outdoors, fishing and volunteering.
